On the way to Thonon-les-Bains: Collonge-Bellerive, Hermance and Excenevex

Oldtimers in Collonge-Bellerive
Hermance (at the Swiss-French border)
The Brocher Foundation in Hermance
Excenevex Beach in France (a few kilometers from Yvoire)
Excenevex does not only have the longest beach with natural sand at Lac Léman, but also the last and only gold beater (batteur d'or) manufacture in France. (Today there are fewer than fifty gold beaters in the world.) The company of the Dauvet family has produced gold leaves to cover both the Russian Church in Geneva and the flame of the Statue of Liberty in New York. (dauvet.com)
