This
Vespa Diary brings you pictures about my Vespa tours in Switzerland and France, mainly around Lac Léman starting in Geneva.
I also publish pictures of
Vespas taken by me or others in different countries. (If the photo is not taken by myself I always give the source.) The theme is "travelling Vespas".
Sometimes I report about related issues, such as the Geneva Motor Show, Vespa models, Vespa ads, etc.

When it comes to
travelling Vespas you might find similarities with the travelling garden gnomes, best known from the 2001 French movie Amélie (Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulain) with Audrey Tautou.
The tradition of the traveling garden gnomes is older than this movie, some cases were recorded aldready in the 1980s. Similar stories were featured in several films. In the French comedy Amélie steals her father's garden gnome and asks an air-hostess friend to send pictures of it posing with landmarks from all over the world. (You can get loads of information by searching for:
travelling garden gnome or
travelling gnome prank)
But the tradition of
travelling Vespas is much older and it doesn't involve stealing. Somehow the owner of a Vespa is tempted all the time to photograph his scooter in front of landmarks or just at nice spots. You can find great pictures of Vespas from all over the world. The classic and beautiful design of the Vespa makes it simply desirable to have it pose with great sights.

That is a long way, but possible. But I think you will see the Vespa in Geneva first :)
