Christmas shopping in Vienna

Vienna is an ideal place to do the Christmas shopping, for Vespa accessories for example! I found the Magno hotcover to be a lot cheaper here than in Geneva. I don't find it particularly "sexy" to go around with this cover on my Vespa, but it certainly keeps my knees warm.

Vespas everywhere - by car to Zürich

I've been at Zürich Airport already in 1987 and drove by this largest town of Switzerland several times recently, but this was the first real visit to the town. I was impressed by the city centre, the old town and the fact that there are just as many Vespas here as there are in Geneva.

Tolochenaz - final resting place of Audrey Hepburn

Audrey Hepburn lived in the Villa "La Paisible" in Tolochenaz for 30 years until her death on January 20, 1993. She was 63 years old. The name of the renovated 18th-century farmhouse - meaning "calm, quiet" - is quite appropriate. She had a beautiful garden overlooking Lac Léman, with a view of the snowcapped Mont Blanc.

Vespa tour on the Route du Vignoble de la Côte

The destination of this Vespa tour was Tolochenaz, the former home and final resting place of Audrey Hepburn. As I cannot be at at my family's grave today, I thought it would be appropriate to light a candle there.
