This "Vespa Diary" is mainly a picture diary.
The idea came when my mother told me to take pictures on my Vespa tours.
The blog is for her and all my friends who'd like to share my joy with my Vespa or anybody else around the world who shares my interest. You are welcome to comment directly on the blog or write to: vespa.strapazzatela@gmail.com.

About the word 'blog'
Origin: 'weblog' - first used by Jorn Barger in 1997.
Two years later came the shortened version 'blog' - first used by Peter Merholz.
The word 'web' is the shortened version of 'world wide web', a new way of using the internet developed at Cern in Geneva by Tim Berners-Lee in 1990. The phrase 'world wide web' was only a "temporary measure" until they find a better name. They never did. Just as they never found a better way of using the internet. (Most people using the internet today don't even know another way...)
The phrase world-wide-web has a longer history, used already in 1867 by the English novelist Charles Kingsley, not quite in the same meaning.
