Visiting Tolochenaz - Audrey Hepburn´s last resting place

With her Oscar winning role in Roman Holiday (1953), Audrey Hepburn helped to make the Vespa known all around the world. Winning an Oscar was especially sensational as she was unknown in Hollywood until then. She got many more great roles, but no more Oscars. 

In 1963 she bought a house in Tolochenaz near Morges at the Lac Léman and lived there for 30 years until her death in 1993. Her grave is in a tiny cemetary in Tolochenaz. There is a statue in front of the former Audrey Hapburn memorial pavillon, today a run down building.
